My base is a small
town in the south of the Netherlands.
Photography is my ruling passion.
After learning skill and tactics of photography all by myself, I
enthousiasticly followed some courses and workshops with some renowned
photographers.
Source of my inspiration is nature.
Artists I admire and who inspire me, are Yvens (a landscape photographer out
of the Netherlands), Sieff, Weston, Adams and Sexton, but also photographers
of the female beauty, Ommer and Gnade. Certainly you may find the influence of
these photographers in my landscape and human photographs.
My landscape photography I try consciously to reduce to work in the
Netherlands.
Within my figure photography nature and landscape are very important. I try
to put down a powerful human figure, as well in studio as in landscape
itself. In both situations the organic idea is important, man (or mostly
woman in my photographs) must fit in natural surroundings.....
